Early Payment Access

Did you know that 65% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck? And that 61% of small businesses struggle with cash flow? We love seeing unique solutions to these problems being created by companies building on Unit, and today, we are releasing early payment access which makes it easier to get money into your customers’ hands more quickly.

The first early payment access use case we are enabling is providing early access to received ACH credits. For example, when a customer receives an ACH payment with a settlement date in the future, such as a paycheck, a webhook event notifies you of the opportunity to provide access to the funds instantly. For customers you determine are eligible, you can immediately send them the funds, by making a single API call. The funds will be taken from a dedicated early access account that you fund in advance, and once the original payment is completed, the funds are automatically credited back to your account.
